Péchy Castle is located in the heart of the historic region of Šariš and Spiš situated in the picturesque part of Eastern Slovakia. One is invited to experience unique treasures of this yet undiscovered region: Gothic cathedrals, Baroque castles, fortresses and historic wooden churches.

Historical wooden churches built in late Gothic-style, adorned with ancient wall and ceiling frescos, are unique sights of Eastern Slovakia. The remains of Spiš Castle – only 12 km from Péchy – form the largest fortress site in Central Europe (UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites). In nearby Levoča, you will be fascinated by wall frescos and the highest wooden Gothic altar of the world, created by Master Paul in the St. Jacob’s Basilica (12th -14th century), by the town’s Gothic and Renaissance buildings.

This region offers countless historical landmarks: Bardejov, another historical town with its well-known square and its Gothic St. Aegidius Basilica. In Stará Ľubovňa, exciting medieval knight games are annually organized in the castle built in the 13th century.
