Péchy Castle

Known for its outstandingly beautiful countryside, this historic eastern part of Slovakia is called “The Tuscany of the East”. Owned for centuries by the Péchy family, this private estate and its three- hectare English park was requisitioned by the Communist government in 1948. It lay in a ruinous state until reclaimed in 1997 and restored by Klara Szakall von Losoncz, the granddaughter of George Péchy de Péchujfalu. Discover the atmosphere of the gentry-lifestyle like in the old days. At the 6th annual Seminar on hotel business and gastronomy, the Hotel & Gourmet Forum in Bratislava, Péchy Castle was awarded the price “Best Hotel Concept in 2010”.

In 2012, Péchy Castle was nominated in the category “Best Country Historic Hotel of Europe” among nine of the best international hotels in Europe.
